Gift Guide 2023 For Him
Let’s be real, men can be some of the most difficult people to shop for. I also find it difficult to create a gift guide for men because they’re all different, some are golfers, some are gamers, some are drinkers, some are sporty, some are preppy etc etc. So I keep my gift guides pretty general, but let me tell you the men I am typically shopping for (my fiancee and dad) are average sporty-er men. They need a little more upleveling in their wardrobe, some nicer versions of the basics or nicer backpacks or duffel bags etc., but overall consider this entire gift guide to be upleveled basics. I also have a pretty good gift guide from last year for him & I would still get the men on my life pretty much anything from that list. Men’s UGG Chukka boots- My fiancee wants these so bad for Christmas because he loved an upscale slipper, and he loves black & boots. He likes that he’ll be able to wear them around the house or out and no one will know the difference. They also have a version with leather on the outside to make them even less slipper-y and even more like a shoe.
Jocko Willink Book- Jocko Willink is a former navy seal who has multiple books & a podcast about radical ownership and how to become your best self. I find that a lot of men really resonate with what he has to say & also it’s a way to get them to read personal development in a way that they relate!
Ned Dream Set- If your guys struggle with sleep, stop right here & get them the Ned Dream set! I take the Ned Magnesium almost every single night, it’s delicious, comes in 3 flavors, and helps me get my daily intake of magnesium and also sleep like a rock. It’s nice to have a few go to hoodies in his closet that he can wear that won’t look like he just rolled out of bed, but will also keep him in his comfort zone. I love Abercrombie for women’s clothes but they’re truly stepping it up with all of these men’s upscale basics.
Pickleball set- If you have a sporty guy in your life & he hasn’t yet gotten into pickleball or he has talked about trying pickleball then this is the gift for him! I like this Pickleball set because it’s neutral & beautiful but also gives off a manly vibe & is a high quality brand. A bonus is that it comes with 2 paddles, balls, and a carrying case so you both can play together!
Bulldog Shave Set- Ever since Beautycounter discontinued their shaving cream, we’ve been on the hunt for a nontoxic shaving cream that will work the way my fiancee likes it too, but not have terrible ingredients & please me too. Bulldog is our perfect meet in the middle, we got it off thrive market & we’ve since reordered 3x so this one is a winner! This shave set is a cute little holiday set but in a way that will get him to swap over his personal care products to nontoxic versions that will please both of you!
Dime Cologne- Talk about swapping personal care products, the fragrance industry is so incredibly tough to find better alternatives for women AND men. The term fragrance is so incredibly unregulated- it’s pretty much the “natural flavors” of the scent world. Dime is definitely one of the better options out there for men, while Henry Rose & Beautycounter are much better options for women, this is about all I could find for men so get him the classic gift of cologne but in a nontoxic not endocrine disrupting way!!
Men’s Forrest work boots- I got my fiancee these for Christmas this year and he is obsessed!! I love Target shoes, I get most of my shoes there and I find that the men’s section is just as good! These are a nice casual shoe that he can wear to work on casual fridays in the winter, or just anytime you leave the house. So far they’ve held up very well & come in a tan version as well that looks like a Timberland’s dupe.
5 pack essential tees- This is my version of upleveling your man’s current wardrobe. If he is a casual guy like those in my life, he probably wears tees & sweatshirts as much as possible, so it will probably be welcomed if you get him some super soft & upscale tees from Abercrombie! There are lots of colors of these too.
Nintendo Switch- If your guy is a gamer & doesn’t have the switch yet this is for them! This is a bigger ticket item but 100% worth it because it can be played as a regular gaming console at home or can be taken on the go when you travel! If he likes video games and needs an upgrade from his current setup then this is for him!
Lululemon commission shorts- My dad lives in Florida and he said he hasn’t worn pants since he moved there so I had to get him these shorts last year for Christmas. He is actually obsessed with them, wears them weekly, and recommends them to everyone. Yes they are a higher ticket item, but they’re a really nice pair of golf shorts that can be worn casually or dressed up like khaki shorts. They’re worth the money in my dad’s opinion, and he may or may not be getting another pair for Christmas this year!
Counterman bundle- Men actually have thicker skin than women, so they may not be able to use our skincare & get the same effects. Also, let’s replace all the toxic crud with some nontoxic goodies, no endocrine disrupting hormones for him or you!! I love this bundle because it’s a body wash, cleanser, and an oil free face lotion so it’s pretty much his entire skincare regimen(minus maybe a shaving cream). The charcoal look & scent are to die for and will have you guys just as happy as you when they’re using these nontoxic products!
LMNT orange salt- Let’s be real, your guy probably isn’t drinking enough water and is probably a little dehydrated. While getting him a water bottle could help with this, getting him electrolytes could be just as helpful if not more so. If your guy is sporty at all or likes to go to the gym trust me, just get him LMNT, plus they have a bunch of different flavors so you’re bound to find one he likes!
Herschel Backpack- If he is still using his high school backpack as a weekend bag this is the gift to get your guy. I love Herschel bags because they are high quality and look classy but without overdoing it or getting too expensive.
